Mandy Smith Group is lead by Mandy G. Smith, one of Houston's excellent GoGirls contingent. Going on her third year performing all over Houston and recently at "Invasion of the GoGirls" showcases during the South by Southwest Music Conference in Austin, Mandy's talent has grown incredibly and her band is tight as ever. This is especially evident in her new song I Believe written with Chris Rogers. Chris (guitar) has landed solidly as a primary member of the Mandy Smith Group, he is producing their upcoming CD and is a contributing writer on three of the new songs. Phil Tague (bass) went through bands with Mojo Nixon and Mustang Lightning in Denver before he landed in Houston laying his language for some great artists including The Albert Storo Blues Combo and Shovelhead until meeting up with Mandy in the Summer of 2002. A local Houston boy, Jeff Seibert (drums) has been on the music scene since 1998. He has worked with a variety of bands including Filthy Rich, Soul Shaker and Excalibur. Jeff just returned from a tour with The Pat Travers Band to recently join forces with the Mandy Smith Group. |
"You could have been more than a name on the door on the 33rd floor in the air, more than a credit card swimming pool in the backyard." - The Arrangement, Ladies of the Canyon by Joni Mitchell "For so many years these lines inspired what was in my heart. Driven to lyricise life, being a songwriter and connecting to the words and music of others pours out what would otherwise be kept inside." - Mandy Guiberteau Smith Listen to: I Believe |
